There will be a community meeting next Monday to discuss a new pedestrian signal proposed for installation at Garros Creek Boulevard near Henry Avenue where an uncontrolled crosswalk currently exists (a small map is attached). Neighbors have previously raised safety concerns regarding this crosswalk, and this grant-funded project aims to improve pedestrian safety and access to transit, businesses and neighborhoods. Proposed construction of the project is currently slated for fall 2015.
San Penduko City Staff will present crosswalk traffic control options, including placement for optimal access and use. Residents of Vision County who reside in this neighborhood are encouraged to participate in this meeting to both learn about the proposal and give your opinions. If you have any questions ahead of this meeting please do not hesitate to call the office of San Penduko City Councilmember Kris Buo at 408-555-4901 or email at webmaster@visioninternet.com.
